I remember reading that the new version of this disc had some problems. Am I better off keeping my old version, or should I upgrade? Thanks.

I've had no problems with mine and the extras are worth the upgrade in my opinion. (But then,I never got the first release so I didn't have to make that decision)

Even if you do have a problem, they are offering a replacement disc. BTW, has anyone that returned the disc received their replacement yet?

I've heard the major problems with the disc is only when you pause it. Otherwise it should play just fine.

I returned mine but I haven't recieved a replacement yet. They did say they werent shipping them until Nov. So I'll get concerned beggining of Dec if I haven't gotten my replacment.

No, that's far from the only problem. The issue has something to do with the way the disc was encoded that causes problems with some DVD players.

I don't remember the exact details, but the thread isn't that old and should come up in a search.

A lot of players had trouble with the way the compression was being done.. With my player any movement at all would result in some nasty lines on screen which made the movie completely unwatchable.
