No playmaker. Tyronne Lue is a terrible point guard. He's a scorer, but he sucks at running an offense.
Jacque Vaughn was just the opposite, not much offense scoring wise, but good at distributing the rock.
Garrity being out hurts as well. Gircek has played crappy (maybe he's hurt to) and Miller is gone, so they really need Garrity healthy to stretch the defense.

Giricek was in fact hurt, and just activated from the IR.
But Garrity looks to need another surgery on his knee and is likely done for the season. :(

I say it's karma for just barely missing the playoffs the first year they had Shaq, yet still getting the first pick of the draft thanks to the lottery. Granted, Lil Penny didn't work out so well, but they did get to the Finals pretty quickly.

I think the Magic also got a couple of picks in that deal, but I have no idea what happened with them.
Obviously the whole franchise would look a lot different with Grant Hill healthy. But they sure haven't helped themselves outside of that. What have they done in the draft? Steven Hunter? Michael Doleac? Brian Evans? Johnny Taylor? The only 3 guys they've drafted recently with any promise were all traded away (Miller, Dooling, and Courtney ALexander).

They also traded Bo Outlaw and their #9 pick to the Suns for Jud Buechler. That pick turned out to be Amare Stoudemire.

We'll, last year they drafted Keith Bogans and Reece Gaines, which both have a lot of promise.
But you're right, they've been terrible. I don't fault them for Hunter though, he had a lot of promise, he just hasn't delivered.

Of course, at least the Magic have been to the playoffs recently. We Warriors fans haven't seen anything close to the playoffs (although we did get close last year) for like 10 years. And our draft picks have been much worse (Todd Fuller???!!!!)

First I've heard of that. It's an absolute travesty IMO.
He's a great coach. He took a team that had no business being anywhere near the playoffs, to the playoffs the past 2 or 3 years. And he had the .500 team his first year when he had no stars at all.
Gabriel is the one that should be canned for his dumbass personnel moves since bringing in McGrady and Hill.
Buy:
