Actress Kellie Waymire found dead at 35
She was the mom on the God Awful show "The Pitts", and she had a recurring role on Six Feet Under. Apparently it was from natural causes.

That's really sad. I always enjoyed seeing her as a guest star in an episode of a series I watch regularly. Along with Melissa from Six Feet Under, I really liked Crewman Cutler from Enterprise. The 'Dear Doctor' episode she was featured in was one of the few bright spots in that silly first season, and I think a lot of Trekkies were hoping to see more of her.

That is really too bad. She just had a guest shot on Friends a few weeks ago as the mother of an adopted child that Monica and Chandler go to see for advice. I always liked her in SFU as well.
I have to wonder what kind of natural causes kills a 35 year old woman. I guess it was some kind of disease?

It might have been an anurism. Lost a good friend to that and shw was in her late 30s, and my friend lost his mother and sister to it too (sister was around early-mid 40s).
She was also in on Star Trek a few times.

Did she play the mother of the kid Elaine was trying to babysit? And she had a serious illness and was looking for someone to watch the kid if she died? If so, how creepy.

When was her birthday? I'm just trying to figure out if I'm younger or older than her.
I'll tell you though, what was weird was when Kim Walker (most notably Heather #1 in the movie Heathers) died 2.5 years ago. She and I were born on the same day.

Wow, as someone said, she was a definite bright spot on Enterprise. This is getting to be too much here lately.

US TV actress Kellie Waymire dies
Actress Kellie Waymire, who appeared in TV shows such as Six Feet Under, Friends and Ally McBeal, has died aged 36, her agent has announced.
She died on 13 November at her US home, apparently of a previously undetected medical condition.
Waymire played prostitute Melissa in Six Feet Under, and also appeared in Seinfeld, The Practice, Enterprise and Star Trek: Voyager.
She also won awards for her work in regional US theatres.
A review in the Los Angeles Times praised her performance in Sylvia at the Globe Theatre in San Diego in 1996 as "utterly irresistible".
A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Ohio, and the University of California, Waymire's television career began in the daytime soap One Life to Live, before landing guest roles in shows such as Seinfield and The X-Files.
Her agent Billy Miller did not reveal what her medical condition may have been but said autopsy results were pending.

It was kind of weird, CNN yesterday had it at the top of their web site all day long as "Six Feet Under, Friends actress found dead." A little ambigious I thought but then again Waymire wasn't a household name. Certainly a bit slow to report tho considering it happened nearly 2 weeks ago.
