Watching LOTR:FOTR EE. Again. Am I Weird?
I'm watching this movie again and I can't remember how many times. I think this is my third time on the EE version. Am I weird? Do I have Alzheimers? Or am I just not paying attention to the movie?

I wouldn't say thats weird. I think I've watched the EE like 6 or 7 times now. I have watched it at least a couple times for each different commentary as well. And I have watched all the 2 special features disc probably 5 or 6 times through. I just really enjoy it.

Do you not remember scenes from the film as you watch it again? Is it like seeing it for the first time.
A few answers to a few of your questions:
1. Yes, you're definitely weird, although it has nothing to do with watching LOTR.
2. Possibly.
3. Maybe you simply enjoy the film.
I've seen the EE about 10 times now, although sometimes with the commentaries.
I plan to watch it again Monday in preparation for the TTT:EE on Tuesday.

if it's because you have a memory problem...it's not weird, but sad. if it's because you love the film/dvd....yer just being a normal person who loves a film. watch it 100 times if you feel like it. I had a hard time sitting through it twice....but it belongs in the library without a doubt.

I don't think it is odd. Isn't that why you purchased the DVD? So you can watch it more than once.
If you are only going to watch it once, might as well just rent it. At least that is a primary factor when i consider a DVD purchase.

Watching movie multiple times = not weird.
Having a dvd collection w/a Guzzlefish estimated value of ~$22,000 = somewhat weird.
Just watch the EE more. That'll help balance things out.

I have seen FOTR-Theatrical - 3 or 4 times
I have seen Two Tower - Theatrical - 3 times
I have seen FOTR:EE - 1/50 times (yes only 4 or 5 minutes of it and it's still sitting in front of me)
I have seen Two Towers:EE - 0 times, it just shipped today from Amazon.

ok, that's weird! no offense of course.
you are missing a great (and much more deep and involving) version of the FOTR if you haven't watched the EE. Did you not like the 5 minutes you watched? I think there were changes even in the first 5 minutes in the EE, if I am not mistaken. Or did you reach your limit with the 4 theatrical viewings?

Yeah you're weird.
I still havn't gotten through the FOTR theatrical version yet.
I have it on DVD, and I have tried watching it several times, but I just get bored with it.
*muggins now runs to avoid the screaming mob*
Actually, the biggest reason I havn't watched it completely is that it is a Fullscreen edition of the DVD, which I got for test driving a KIA, and then I couldn't get anyplace to exchange it for a WS. I find myself distracted, wondering what could be going on on the sides that I am missing.
And, with me being unemployed, I can't bring myself to spend what little money I have to buy a DVD of something I already have.
Although, I do look forward to getting the FOTR:EE once I find a job.
Does this mean I've become a widescreen snob?

Nobodys weird just because they watch a movie more than once. Thats why you buy movies is to watch them. Except if you have watched some thing about 300 times then it gets a little weird.

My reason. BTW, I am halfway through the EE finally. On an extended potty break
No, really... I just bought the EE a few weeks ago at most. During the past year +, I've only had the theatrical.
So, it's not weird. It's just belated and going easy on the pocketbook!!
