Apex DVD Player at Sears...questions...
Sears is having a sale through this Saturday on the Apex DVD player model AD-1225. After savings, it's only 31.49. Questions:
Is it a decent player? I've got a dvd player that I'm very happy with, so this wouldn't be my primary player.
Is this the kind you can hack and watch all regions dvds? This is the main reason I would want it.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

It doesn't appear to be region free, and the reviews here:

are not so glorious. My advice, stay away from it at all costs, save an extra $40 and by a Toshiba SD 3900 or Philips 727.

Go with the Cyberhome (CH-DVD-300)- I have this unit, purchased from Radio Shack a few months ago- Based on the feedback from this forum. It is a good little DVD player and has a back door to make the unit region free- I wanted a region free so I can purchase some British comedies only in the UK.- It's a great little unit.

Cyberhome is the worst dvd player on the market. Apex is fine I would recommend it.
