I got full already - I hate 2.35:1 - I Don't want my 32" TV to be a 20" in viewable area.

I think what he's talking about is something I read on another forum - in one scene, the "full screen" version has female nudity that the widescreen doesn't have. So apparently the wanting to watch the film as the director intended only applies when there is no extra nudity in the MAR version.

Wide of course. If all I want is some extra nudity, I can get that on the net; no way I'm going to watch the whole movie with the aspect ratio messed up for one or two scenes (which aren't even all that revealing).

I've seen the screengrabs, and this is much ado about nothing. Her hair covers anything of interest.

And GMLSKIS, I used to watch (and enjoy) 2.35 movies on a 25" 4x3. I now have a 30" 16x9. Either way I'm not getting a huge image, but at least I'm getting the right image.

Zoom feature. God Bless it.

I own a 20" and unless it's 1.85:1, I use the zoom function to bring up close to a 1.85:1 ratio. I've found that this is the best thing to do.

But buying fullscreen? I'm thinking ahead, and in 3-5 years from now, fullscreen will be worthless.

Why does one format have more nude shots than the other? Is this a ploy to get consumers to buy both versions?

The film was shot in Super35. Go to www.digitalbits.com and look up the bit about Super35 in their guide to anamorphic widescreen. You will find it incredibly informative.

I'm glad for you - you enjoy the "so called right image and I will enjoy just as much if not more, the full image.

Like truck and car drivers wide and full lovers should get along.

I didn't buy a 32 " HDTV to get much less viewing than that. I will put up with 1.85:1 though that's my wide limit.

Wait, wait, wait...

You have an HDTV (assuming 16:9), and you'd rather buy/watch full frame than a 2.35:1 movie???

I have a little 13" tv, I only watch OAR. I can't stand having the edges chopped off. If the picture is too small, move closer! I have poor eye sight and I am fine sitting 10 feet from my little tv.

Shouldn't a 1.85:1 ratio fit your 16x9 perfectly? Unless, of course, you really DON'T have a 16x9 TV...

If you do have a 16x9 TV, should get LESS black bars for widescreen than fullscreen. Unless you stretch the image, which fully sucks.

If you guys are referring to the HTF thread, there's also some discussion in that thread that the WS of T3 is misframed.

Dammit!! I got the T3 wide from Best Buy for $15 and $10 for Pumping Iron (if bought with T3)! Now I’m thinking of getting rid of T3 on ebay (I still did not open it).

Class316,

If you still haven't opened it why don't you return the T3 DVD back to BestBuy for a full refund and then go for the deal in buying both the T3 and Pumping Iron DVDs?

My question to the original poster is couldn't you just see the few screens that have the boobies in them online and get your kicks that way? I say OAR all the way.
