SOCOM II Clan Unite!
Alright fellas, I think we have enough soldiers on our squad to start getting some games together, maybe even a clan war. Lets use this thread to post available times. I work on the east coast, so i'm available after 8pm on the weekdays. I've seen a couple of you on around that time, so hopefully we can all agree on a time and get together. I'm thinking we can set up a password room, and post the password here.
So hows tonight at 9PM Sound??

hey corn, maybe you shouldn't do a password then since it will only be like 4 of us, leave it public and we'll hopefully get some other people in there to go up against..make it a new map medley, i love the new maps!

It was cool when it was just us DVD people. We were doing 2 vs. 2 or 3 vs 3. we were talking planning strategies, covering for each other, etc... Maybe if we have non-dvd people in game, we can all get on same team. I don't really care if we're SEALs or Terrorists. I'd like to learn some manuevers and maybe some good choke points on the maps.

hey fellas, good time last night, too short though..we should definately do it again, i'll be on tonight between 8-9...just 2 things though, i'm not really into playing the old Socom 1 maps, I did that for 1 year, I wanna learn the new maps now, and I hate seals plus i love the automatic shotgun (which only the terrorists have) so 9 out of 10 times i'll be on the terrorist side...but anyhow, lets do it again tonight...

i agree, this is the first shooter i've ever played on a console online, so i'm still figuring out the aiming controls, but we def need to be good with all sides, different weapons, etc. it's the ONLY way.

I should be on tonight around 8:00 as well. I played the 1st SOCOM for all of 10 minutes, so all the maps are new to me. I do find that the dark maps are my worst, so I dislike them at the moment. I have no real preference with sides or weapons at the moment, as I'm still trying to find something that I like.
I agree with Thong, if we can't get enough for a 3 vs 3, then we should all jump to one side and work on our strategy.

Spy021 - For the dark maps, I went into video options and cranked up the brightness level in the game. Even then turning up the brightness on your tv set might help it further. Now I can see just fine on map like Shadow Falls where the rest of the people is complaining about not being able to see anything.

i usually turn off all my lights or dim them...i think Socom tried to re-create what it would look like if you really were in a jungle at 2am, so in that sense, it really would be that hard to see..but unfortunately, it makes it hard to shoot anyone..u can always crank on the nightvision, or point a falshlight at the screen

As for tweaking it further with the brightness control on my TV. I'm a little hesitant, especially after spending so much time with the AVIA disc and getting it tuned properly. It wouldn't be an issue if I could save custom settings on my TV, but no such luck.
