Kid Rock's new CD out today 11/11

Anyone plan on buying Kid Rock's new self-titled CD out today? I like his first single - a remake of Bad Co.'s Feel Like Makin' Love. Glad to hear that he ditched the rap/hip-hop and is focusing more on his rock'n'roll roots.

While it didn't sell as well, I thought Rock's second album, "Cocky", much better that Devil in terms of actual growth as a musician. Sorry I sold it , but I needed some money.

kid rock will never be as good as he was in the underground era, back when The Polyfuze Method and Early Mornin Stoned Pimp were out

Yes i will be getting it and I"m really looking forward to hearing it. I must have listened to "Cocky" a hundred times. I agree with DR. DVD that it was better than "Devil Without A Cause," but disagree with The Mainiac. He was good back then, but he has definitley gotten better.

NOTICE:

This is basically a country album with a little bit of rock.
If you liked "Only God Knows Why" then you'll love this self-titled
album because there's 15 songs of it on there.

I'm not a Kid Rock fan, but he does do grungy, rock-country really really well.

He barely raps or rocks hard at all on this one.

Sheryl Crow isn't advertised as being a guest but she does do one tune with Kid Rock.

Thanks for saving me 11 bucks. I'm one of a handful of people who actually enjoys "Devil Without a Cause" and just doesn't get KR's fascination with country music.

I'm sure it's good for what it is, but what it is isn't for me.

Bought it. I have to say that if you liked Cocky and the direction in which it was taking Kid Rock's music, you will love this album.
However, if you liked Devil Without a Cause and it was your favorite album, you will hate this one.
I give it *** out of **** as well for now, but it might get upgraded with time.

Ditto.

To go back to your earlier post. I too liked Cocky better than Devil... Kid Rock is a better musician when it comes to southern rock than he is with the rap/hip-hop and I like the direction he has chosen to take his musical career. I've listened to this new album once thus far and think it's excellent. ***1/2 out of ****. Gotta give KR credit for following his musical heart even if it may not generate all the $$ as a shallow hip-hop tune overplayed on MTV would have done.

I never heard Cocky but thought Devil Without A Cause was pretty good. I still might pick this up though, It's good to hear that he doesn't rap on it, leave that to the professionals

I'll have to wait for this on ein the used bin. Although I do like all of his CDs so far. Even found Early Mornin Stoned Pimp for $2 at a pawn shop.

After having listened to this album 3-4 times now, my favorite songs are:

1. Run Off to LA
2. Rock'n'Roll Pain Train
3. Cold and Empty
(4. Rock'n'Roll)

All in all, a great album!
