when Indy has the grail, the Knight states that immortality would happen only as long as the grail does not pass the seal. Now, let's say hypothetically the grail didn't pass the seal in the movie, would Indy and Henry be immortal? I interpreted it as that, but not sure if that is correct.

I interpreted it as once they left the confines of the temple, the immortality would fade as well. Remember that the knight also had 2 brothers who left him at the temple. They died (I think they said that they died) And the knight said he couldn't leave the temple either.

The two brothers died, so once you leave the temple the immortality goes with it, but the knight's brothers died of extreme old age in there hundreds. So I assume that it wont let you live forever, but it wont let you live the same amount of time as a normal mortal.

Yeah, it was stated in the movie that they lived a very long life. So, does that mean Indy and Henry will live that long or not since the grail passed the seal?

so no Indiana Jones in the 25th Century ? :D

When i saw the film, i also assumed they would live an extremely long time. Im not sure what time period Indy 4 is set in but, am guessing the same period as the others.

I always interpreted them dieing at an extremely old age was due to them leaving the shrine which meant immortality was gone, as others already stated, and their bodies then started to age rapidly to catch up to what their current age really was.

That bastard is going to plant stuff to dig up later! He's going to have an advantage on everyone then. "Lost city of California? I know where to find that at!"
