what is this older movie? wife trains husband with dog book

I'm trying to remember some old movie from 1940-1960 (?) that had a new wife who is given a book on dog training and she's told to substitute the word "husband" for "dog" and her marriage would be wonderful......she does and everything works out until her husband discovers the book.....hilarity ensues from the wacky antics!

Okay, I HAVE to see this movie! Is this available on DVD? Hell, VHS even... It sounds great! It better not be another "Who's Been Sleeping in My Bed?" fiasco, cause there's no release of that either and I don't have cable!

are you sure about "If a Man Answers"? the movie I'm thinking about the wife starts to treat her husband like a dog: if he's good, she scratches behind his ear; if he's very good, she gives him a treat...
