SNL 11-1 with Kelly Ripa

DRUNK GIRL RETURNS! The funniest part of the whole show.

I wanted to enjoy this episode, I really did. Kelly is so likable and beautiful enough that it's painful to look at her, but this was amateurish writing at best.

Bush address
What happened to Parnell doing Bush? Why is it Hammond tonight? No matter, I can't remember the last time any Bush address was funny.

Monologue
The dude in the audience with his wife was clever.

Hair product commercial
Now with crack cocaine! Better than most commercial parodies.

Regis & Kelly
The return of Chris Kattan as Gelman. Ripa was fine as Angelina Jolie, but there was nothing here.

Access Hollywood
Funniest part was showing actors who got fat.

Weekend Update
The Ah-nold joke was the best. Sanz & Fallon showed what total idiots they both are, like two spaz teenagers fooling around with a video camera, making each other laugh. Completely unprofessional to crack each other up every time they're together on stage. Not to mention phony. They're not even finishing the bit, they're so busy douching. At least I had Drunk Girl. "That's not an M&M!"

Cow Fart Research Center
Who the eff wrote this, a child? Not a human child, but a chimpanzee child. That's the only explanation.

Pet Psychic
Yes, the chimp had two bits this week. Did the crowd even laugh once this skit, or did they all fall asleep?

BBC Spy Glass
Clever puns, but what is so funny about that?

Pet adoption center
This was actually the best sketch of the night, and it's dead last.

SNL is 2-2 for the season.

Next week:
Spoiler:
Andy Roddick - Great, a sports star. Feh.

Honk!

I thought the hair commercail was good.

The Arnold joke in WU was great. I thought the Buffett bit was funny.

Drunk Girl

I thought it was going to be another SNL that goes downhill after WU until Parnell called the puppy a douchebag

The cow skit might be one of the worst skits I've ever seen.

I see no way next weeks show is any good.

YAH! DRUNK GIRL! Best character. (though only me and charlie goose think so. )

Hammond's bush was terrible.

I Commented to a freind that the show is starting to remind me of the Pre-Will-Ferrel years... Where every skit seems either juvenile or unfinished. The Cow fart skit reminded me of Jim Brewer for this reason.

Hammond was supposed to be Bush? God, that was horrible. I came in the middle of that and couldn't tell what he was trying to do there...it was kinda like a Cheney/Rumsfeld thing....but not even close to Bush.

Drunk Girl is the Worst. Character. Ever. Kill her.

This show is just plain bad right now....I'd say it's hopeless, but they've been reborn before....but I seriously doubt if it's ever been this bad....simply terrible. I didn't even crack a smile once.

Loved the commercial, hated drunk girl.

Horatio Sanz needs to leave the show immediately, as does Fallon. Give them a cable access show somewhere so no one else had to suffer through their hamming for the cameras...

I now just fast-forward through anything Fallon/Sanz related.

Saw the Monologue and the Hair Care commercial. Both very funny. The black guy in the audience with the fat wife was hilarious.

If you guys think SNL with Kelly Ripa is bad, wait until you watch the next one with someone who has nothing to do with acting. Next week's SNL will surely worst than this week's, no doubt.

I tuned in just to see Kelly Ripa (I still think she's hot) and Outkast.
I never really expect much comedy.

Did the singer from Outkast say something to the effect that "if you didn't buy their new CD yet, then there"s a problem"??

Andre 3000 sang "Hey Yeah" and Big Boi did one of his... not the one that's on the radio.

Did anyone else think the Rod Roddy joke during WU was in poor taste?

He's Erykah Badu's baby daddy so I doubt it. He is just out there! :-)

Dre sang Hey Ya and Big Boi sang The Way You Move (..and yes...it is the one they play on the radio.)

I though the Rod Roddy skit was in very poor taste, as well.

Blah show except for Outkast (IMHO).

I like Kelly Ripa, but God, this has to be one of the worst SNLs I've ever seen. EVER.

I'm actually looking forward to Andy Roddick next week. There's no way in hell it could be worse than last night's show. Plus, maybe we'll get a cameo from Mandy Moore.

Yep, and I thought the James Doohan fat jokes were mean as well, given the fact that I heard he is very ill and close to death.

I am the cattiest, snarkiest TV-watcher I know, and when I say "That is mean" it must really be mean. In fact, my husband was surprised at my reaction to that.

I got a big laugh out of Kelly Ripa's "Usually I'm at home on Saturday nights getting pregnant" line during the monologue. Also liked the guy and his wife.

My other favorite bit was the Puff Daddy marathon bit during WU, and Kelly Ripa's hair commericial. I also enjoyed the Regis & Kelly skit and I thought Ripa was a great sport.

Definately. Guessing his age and playing the Price is Right Theme as Fallon acted
like he won was poor IMO. Also, I thought Tina Fey's reaction to it was a bit
insincere when she scolded Fallon.
She is, after all, the head writer.

Id rather see Mandy host than Andy,he looks like a deer caught in headlights when hes doing a regular interview let alone hosting a live comedic tv show.Mandy did well when she appeared on Mad TV awhile back and of course shes not too bad to look at either

Kattan was a welcome surprise for me. His Gelman impersonation always makes me laugh.

Kelly was OK. IMO, Kelly is much better at drama than comedy. Her Angelina Jolie was pretty good but the other impersonation of the Bridget Jones gal was really poor. Although she didn't have all that much to work with.

Cracking on a dead man who just died ain't funny. I heard some boos along with some quiet, guilty laughter.

Cows that fart. That's drop on the floor funny. Not!

Drunk girl. Same old lines, same mannerisms, same ole fugly actor. Get rid of her.

Overall weak episode.

As opposed to every other SNL character with brand new material every time they appear?

Jeff Richards isn't fugly. His face is...interesting.

Honk!
