Screw everything else on that list. It's all about King Ralph and Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot!. Two of the finest comedies finally coming to DVD.

But in all seriousness and being the schmuck I am, I'll probably buy Problem Child and Problem Child 2 if in widescreen. Hell, I remember seeing Problem Child 2 opening weekend when I was a kid. Awww, the memories....

I'll pick up Judgment Night, Trespass & Mad Dog And Glory if they have anamorphic transfers this time around.

Judgment Night is anamorphic if I remember correctly. Will have to check my copy at home....dvdempire has it listed as anamorphic. :)

FYI, this same thread is over at the HTF and 2 people posted in that thread that all 4 of the American Tail films are listed as 1:33:1. That really pissed me off when I saw that.

Probably just the 2 live-action Flintstones films packaged together. Those are the only Flintstones properties owned by Universal - Warner owns the various cartoon series.

Scarface / The Fast and the Furious Value Pack
Genre: See Individual Titles Coming Soon: 01/06/2004
Considering the fact that Universal value packs can be had for twenty bucks or less, that's a TERRIFIC value.

The Scorpion King / Brotherhood of the Wolf Value Pack
Genre: See Individual Titles Coming Soon: 01/06/2004
Again... who assembled these packs? Here, apparently, some people want a mindless action flick set in a fantasy past with a non-actor action-man in the title role... AND The Scorpion King.

An American Tail
Genres: Animated, Family

I can somewhat see the reasoning of the American Tail sequels being in full screen because mostly kids will most likely get them but i can guarantee you that if it was in widescreen most of the people that would have bought the first ones are adults that watched it as a kid. It just don't get why they full screen

Chances are that most of the kids who will get it won't buy it - their parents will, and probably watch it themselves. But regardless, even if Universal agrees with you, the films are like 90 minutes each and I assume the discs will have minimal (or no) extras. They could easily fit both the WS and MAR versions on 1 dual-layer disc and please everyone, selling more copies in the process.

I've waited for sooooo long to own An American Tail on DVD..... and now the Tail is being molested :(

Not that it will do any good but here is what I sent....

"When will you realize people are looking for quality releases of titles such as An American Tail? It is absolutely hilarious DTS sound is being included with this title but no anamorphic widescreen transfer. Besides pissing people off....what is the reasoning here?"

I would rather see a higher price for titles such as this and look forward to a quality release.
