Fox Hong Kong DVDs -the next batch

According to kfccinema.com, this will be the second batch of R1 Hong Kong film DVDs that Fox will release on January 13th through their deal with Fortune Star:

Heart of Dragon (Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung)
Eastern Condors (Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao)
My Lucky Stars (Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao)
Duel to the Death (not sure if 1977 or 1982 version)
In the Line of Duty 4 (Donnie Yen, Cynthia Khan)

I haven't heard about these elsewhere, so I'm not sure how accurate this info is.

My Lucky Stars is great, I have a VHS copy that I picked up when a local video store was closing. Note to Jackie fans, he's really just an extended cameo, he's not the focus of the movie..

Eastern Condors, must get.

Note to Fox/Celestial - Now would be a good time to restore Final Option and First Option. Take advantage of the public's interest in elite counter-terrorism forces. Plus, Final Option has never been released on DVD before, so there would be pent up interest in it.

Those are pretty good choices. But I'll still wait for some reviews before buying since Fox released a cut version of Naked Killer in the first batch of HK titles.

Is Duel to the Death the '77 or '82 version?

These might be available earlier than 1/13. I've seen them for preorder with a release date of 12/30.

Duel to the Death is most likely the '82 version. Don't think Fox has any rights to any Shaw Brothers films.

Duel is indeed the 82 version and looks to be getting the best treatment cover wise.

I'll be picking up all 5 of these for 9.99 a piece at best buy when they hit!!

Much better selection then their first batch.

I will too. I'm still very disappointed with the cut Naked Killer, because other than that, it looked and sounded great.

I hope that these show up on sale at Futureshop for $11.99 Canadian each, like the first releases did.

If any of these titles are in danger of snipping, it'd be Eastern Condors. If you're a Sammo fan, you might want to hold off 'til the reviews are in.

Is this the one that takes place in the jungle or a forest with kung-fu and gun fighting?

Yup. It's basically Sammo's hyper-violent blend of The Deer Hunter and The Dirty Dozen.

Any word if Heart of Dragon will have all the fight scenes in their entirety?

Can't wait to get Duel to the Death.

Hopefully this batch won't be dubtitled like the last batch. I haven't bought any of the first batch because of the dubtitles.
