Since the question's been answered, closing duplicate. - Static
Is the Toys R Us sale really going to happen for PS2 and Xbox games next week or is that still unconfirmed?
I checked with the official thread but saw no evidence of this. Thanks.

Yes
edit: to clarify my answer, in jblackland's weekly ad's thread he has this for toysrus
Games
TRU: Buy 2, get the third game free on Xbox and PS2 games (offer excludes GBA, PS1 and Gamecube video games - free item must be equal or lesser value to lowest priced item purchased - only one coupon required when buying any, all or multiples of items listed - coupon savings automatically multiply by number of applicable items puchased, except online - see toysrus.com for online offer)
Also if you search around on cheapassgamer people already have links for the online portion of the sale.

2 follow up questions:
1) Will this be available on the standard amazon site as well or just on the toys r us section?
2) Can you buy stuff online at toys r us and return/exchange them in store?
Thanks!

Franchise, check what flashburn said about www.cheapassgamer.com
There's a link to the amazon part with the sale.
BTW, thanks flashburn.

Just a heads up:
I noticed the Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters game listed as one of the $50 Xbox titles at ToysRUs/Amazon. Clicking on the link brings you to a page listing it as $50.
However, if you search for the title at Amazon from the main Amazon webpage, the link brings you to a page listing the title at $24.99.
You might want to take the time to check the "Amazon" prices as compared to the "ToysRUs/Amazon prices" on some of these games. While in most cases, you can pull a decent deal with this sale (esp. with new titles), in others, you might end up with practically no deal at all.
It may also be smart to comparison shop to other sites as well. While DOA:BV is listed at $50 at Amazon, it is $29.99 at many others (Target, Best Buy, etc.)
