'The Shield' Season 1 AND 2 starting next week
It's yet to populate Tribune grid data and the like, but folks are reporting that FX will start re-airing 'The Shield' from the beginning (yes, that includes Season 1) every Tuesday starting next week in Nip/Tuck's time slot.
Though it would appear there will have to be some weeks where they show multiple epsides to get all 26 episodes in by January, when Season 3 is set to premier.
The show comes HIGHLY recommended.

I also recommend this show, and that any newcomers watch it from the beginning (very important).
For new run episodes, they always did an encore at 11pm. Usually for the repeats, however, they show two different episodes back-to-back.
I like both "NYPD Blue" and "L&O SVU" but they are both STRAIGHT compared to this show. "The Shield" is GAY!

Tribune has updated their guide data, so PVRs should start pulling this show in over the next day or two. Starts next Tuesday at 10 PM Eastern.

According to my ReplayTV program guide, The Shield isn't being shown tomorrow night (10/28/03). I'll be recording these shows since I never watched them when they aired the past couple of years due to other programming conflicts.

Did anyone watch the pilot last night on FX? It was the first time I had seen it and wow! I was surprised that this show started off with so much uneasiness among the cops at the barn. I guess I just assumed that a lot of that developed throughout the first season, since I have only seen the second.

anyone notice the "bbc" type qualtiy of the video last night. i'm surprised they only did one "viewer discresion is advised" warning, since they normally do one after every commercial break.

(sorry, i must not have been paying attention, i was tired and I kind of liked the kid rock song)

They held the funeral for the drug dealer and the cop at the same time to show the differences between the very dignified cop funeral with the 21 gun salute to the "gangsters pouring a 40 for their fallen homie" funeral with the very emotional mother. (From the commentaries) |

Now that I have watched the first 3 episodes, I have to admit that the buzz about this show is right on. What a great show.
I was at how the strike team kept the star basketball player away from the game in "The Spread." One did it for purely betting reasons while Vic did it just because he wanted the Lakers to win home court throughout the playoffs.

Am I the only one with the hots for the lady cop (not the lady detective who hangs with Dutch)?
Overall, a pretty enjoyable, though over-the-top, show so far.
