Do you guy's and gal's think that....

Once the Trilogy Box Set's of BOTH the Matrix series and Terminator series are finally released...do you guy's and gal's think that they will have/offer DD6.1 and DTS6.1 DISCRETE????Or maybe just maybe they will be the 1st movies that offer 7.1 DTS/DD .....AND MAYBE IT WILL EVEN BE 7.1 DISCRETE ...WELL THE WAY I LOOK AT THE SITUATION IS THAT SOMEBODY WILL EVENTUALLY OFFER 7.1 AUDIO...SO WHY NOT OFFER 6.1 0R 7.1 DISCRETE WITH THE 2 BEST MOVIES THATS EVER BEEN RELEASED!!!!!

I'll clarify DVD Giant's statement by saying that the reason there won't be an Terminator DVD box set is that the films were released by different studios.

1. Why are you yelling?

2. There is no 7.1 format on DVD and I haven't heard of one being proposed any time soon.

3. As much as I like them , they aren't the two best movies ever released.

4. Again, why are you yelling at us?

I'm extremley sorry for the yelling guy's and I also wasn't aware that Terminator series was made by 2 different company's... having said that do you guy's think that maybe the Matrix movies will be released in a BoxSet?If so then maybe they can redo the audio so they can have DTS/DD 6.1 discrete?????I know that there is no DVD's to date that has 7.1 audio but ....I personally think/hope that there will be in the not so distant future....what do you guy's think?Once again I apologize for the yelling.

The short answers are a) probably, and b) not a chance.

The longer answer to "b" is, Warner Home Video owns the rights to the Matrix films and Warner does not support DTS. Additionally, even if Warner did support DTS, these films were not mixed for EX/ES so a DTS-ES discrete (6.1) mix would have to be created solely for the second DVD release. Highly unlikely even for most studios that do use DTS.

Robert George do you think there will eventually be 7.1 discrete movie???I have the HK 525 receiver...it's supposed to be able to handle 7 channels + the sub woofer all seperately...I know there are 6.1 Discrete movies which combine the 2 SRB speakers ....so could a company just seperate the 2 SRB's and give them there on soundfield...thus creating a true 7.1 discrete movie??????

What I'd like would be 12.2 films...

two 6.1 systems stacked on top of each other, so you'd get height seperation...

well, actually there have beena couple of 8.1 discrete movies, (only in test form): "We Were Soldiers" where an additional channel of sound comes from a speaker placed directly above the audience (the height channel as it is repectively called).
