nasa counter-sues stating scifi doesn't play science fiction anymore, so why bother. j/k.

I read the story at CNN.com. My bet it was some top secret sattelite that didn't quite burn up, but I guess if SciFi wants to sue NASA to get the info, more power to them.
I think this thread belongs in Other, btw... I was about to post this because I didn't see it over there

DAMN BUNCH OF NERDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sci-Fi Channel must be the dumbest organization ever. Suing and hoping geeky nerds will watch their channel to find out if ET ever probed himself.
All the government needs to do is say: National Security and they don't hav to release anything. Especially not to the Sci-Fi channel. Did they ever think that maybe there is a reason that the info was never released? Maybe it is for our protection that it was kept secret. Maybe nothing happened interesting. It would be funny if Sci-Fi sued and spent millions and the government released info that it was the prototype of the F-14. Nowadays, it is nothing but back then it was top secret.

funny.
it doesn't matter if they win and get the documents or not..
once, Bonnie gets her hands on them, she'll fix 'em so they can adapt it as a TV movie...
"Steven Spielberg presents Bonnie Hammer presenting Roswell"

What does NASA have to do with Braveheart???
Really though, isn't it in SciFi's best interest that the 'mystique' about UFOs and aliens and whatnot is kept intact? This sort of science fiction is appealing because we DON'T know the truth. If this all gets opened up, we'll be concerned about the 'science fact'... and people with an interest in UFOs, etc. will turn away from SciFi and over to Discovery Channel.

As mentioned, they're never going to see this information, and if they do, they aren't going to tell anyone. This is just a publicity stunt to make it seem like there's some government conspiracy hiding UFOs from us. It's not a coincidence that this "story" emerges the week of their show on the topic. Proof of this is easy to find, as Hammer is one of the most reliable executives on the planet. You can always rely on her to lie. When she says, "we're not going to do it just to create buzz." Well ... there's your answer.

yep, I was impressed by the show last night. It seems something happened anyway. I'm leaning towards the Russian satellite, but who knows. Also, I remember see this story on Unsolved Mysteries years ago, and I could almost swear they had a driver for the military convoy interviewed.
The preview for the next case, the England air force base looks great.
