Cast Away 2-disc vs. 1-disc EXACT differences?

I recently opened my sealed copy of Cast Away 2-disc only to find out that disc one is missing. I cant return it because I bought this a few years ago and never opened the package. Anyway, since the 2 disc is OOP, I could pick up the one disc and stick it in the case.

I figured that the second disc is all extras. So Am I missing something when I do this? What is the exact differences between the two?

I believe the Fox single disc re-issues are simply the first disc, so you wouldn't miss anything.

Yup. Pick up the single disc and you should be set. FYI, Best Buy has it for $10.

The 2-disc isn't OOP. Didn't they re-release it in new packaging? Along with Abyss, ID4, etc.

The 2-disc Castaway that I have has a DTS-ES track that I believe is removed from the curent 2 disc version.
