How do I travel to other towns to deliver things? Right now I have to deliver a videotape to Penny, but I dont know how. I tried www.gamefaqs.com but I didnt see what I was looking for.

I think you have to have your original town in slot 1 and the town you are visiting in slot 2. They can't be on the same card. Then go to the train station and tell the monkey you want to travel. Talk to him again once you are done visiting the other town. Make sure you save when you get back to your town, though.

Yeah. Have you ever had someone from another town visit you? If not, are you sure the person is in another town? Remember that new people (up to 15) can move into your town. Check the map - Penny may have recently moved in and you've rudely not introduced yourself to her!

Also, if you can't deliver the item for some reason, I think you can go to the town well and use Apologize to ditch it.

If you haven't visited another town already, they won't ask you to visit another town now.

I have tried to go to another town already, but nothing happens. It just saves and resets. I have a memory card in both slots.

make sure you have your main town in slot 1 and your visiting town in slot 2. I had the same problem as you, and I eventually figured it out via trial and error.

I have it setup that way and the monkey saves my travel data to slot 2 but nothing ever happens. I must be doing something wrong.

There has to be a TOWN on the other memory card to be able to travel there.

ie: You have YOUR card in slot 1, and have a friend's card with thier AC data on it in slot 2.

Ahhhh ok. So if Im not playing with a friend then there is no travel?

Well.. YOU could make 2 towns.. but that'd be kind of scary.

Seriously, if you haven't visited somebody else's town (as demonstrated by your lack of knowledge on how to do it), then Penny is probably in your town.. if she's really not.. then your stuck with the item for about 3 days, at which point the person who gave it to you will take it back and berate you, or you can dump it in the wishing well.

Though.. I would've thought that delivering something to somebody in another town would garner better gifts but I've been given 200 bells for making a cross-town transfer. I wanted to kill them.

Penny isnt in my town. I just made another town on my second memory card. Hopefully it works.

That won't work.. she won't just appear in a town you create. What SHOULD happen, well what USUALLY happens at least, I'm not sure what happened with you, is that when you visit another town, one of your characters will move into the town you visit and sometimes an animal from your town asks you to deliver something to them they left behind. Of course, all this means is going BACK to the town you visited.

I've got like 4 people playing this in my network of friends and have never heard of being asked to delivier an item to an animal that they'd never met or from a town they visited.. that's very strange.

Im not sure. I just made another town on my second memory card, and there is a new town now with all new people but still no Penny. Im not really sure what happened, I just started playing the game a couple of weeks ago.

Dude - Drop it in the well and forget it. Move on. There's plenty of other stuff in your town to do!

The well won't let you ditch it for like 3-4 days later.
