Yes!!! It's here!!! Freedom Force 2!!!!

http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/freed...w_6076875.html

Don't want to post the whole thing, it's a two-page Q&A with Jonathan Chey, project lead at Irrational Games' Canberra studio in Australia.

The title: Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich. Can't wait!

Super heros vs. Nazis. Maybe that will draw people to it... didn't the first one not get noticed that much? (Even though it was a great game?)

Yeah, I'm surprised more people haven't tried this game since you can pick it up for $10 now.

Wanted the first one when it first came out but I curtailed my game spending, so it dropped off my list.

I did pick it up for $10 and it is a very good game.

Bumpity bump!

Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich hits the store shelves on March 8! There's already a demo available if you can't wait.

I'm pretty psyched for this, and I've started replaying the original in anticipation of this one.

The original was pretty fun. I picked it up cheap, and couldn't stop playing it. Hope the sequel is just as good.

I cannot wait for this title to drop. The demo's graphics are comparable to the first games so you won't need a four thousand dollar machine to run this at full speed. You really owe it to yourself to play this game. It's a really fun and unique title. And the mod scene for this game is great.

Yes, I too loved the original. I'm surprised that Marvel waited to sue the City of Heroes guys, when Freedom Force really gave people the same ability to recreate known characters, which made an excellent game even more fun. I played through the whole story as Freedom Force, then again as the Avengers, then again as Justice League... truly great stuff!

P.S.: And yes, Marvel is lame to sue over this in any case.

Down to 19.99 (!) in the latest Fry's ad. For that price, I'm on board. Actually, I would have bought it at 39.99 if I weren't so caught up in other games at the moment, as I loved the first one. Is it not selling well, or is Fry's just crazy? (they also have Metal Gear Solid 3 for PS2 for 20 bucks... didn't that just come out a few months ago?)

I hope Fry's is just having a great sale because this game deserves to be seen as AAA and a top seller to boot(a tier or two below the Half Lifes and WoW's, but way way way above the bargain bins), but I fear it is destined to be forever a hidden gem.

I'm currently playing through it now taking my time (it's a short game) and it really is great. Some of the newer heroes aren't that fun at first as they have no "super" powers but they start to come into their own. Can't wait to try some of the new mods.

Is this an online game?

I'm just concerned that I'll buy the original game & there would be no one online to play. Although I think I'd prefer this to be single player.

Any help is appreciated.

It's has an online feature for skirmishes. You pit your team of 4 against another persons team, but I think it's pretty weakt. The mod scene is really where you get your extended value though so you'll more than get your moneys worth.

Nope, Freedom Force is primarily a single-player, offline RPG. You're confusing it (understandably) with City of Heroes, which is a massively-multiplayer online superhero game.

Just bringing this thread back. The game is now $9.99 at Target on clearance. Of course, clearance games don't last long; so if you're interested, look for it soon.
