how long till Looney Tunes reviews for 4 disc golden collection?

i for one can't wait until the 28th when these come out and think that reviews should be out by now. And also wanted to know if these were really uncut.

I know what you mean. I ordered this since August from Amazon.com. I'm tired of waiting. I want the reviews for Looney tunes Gold, and I want my dvds now!

I absolutely can not wait for these dvds... I've booked the day off so I can enjoy all the Looney Tune glory, without having to sit through work and interupting my viewing... can't wait! I am really looking forward to the reviews for this thing...I need to know how it is!

I can't comment because i'm in the UK but according to a post over on the HTF the publication Entertainment Weekly was running an advert from Warner Brothers basically claiming that these would all be uncut.

According to this week's Entertainment Weekly (#735), they have been "restored from abridged TV versions to all their uncensored glory".

I'm taking it to mean that the original shorts were trimmed to fit more in when they were shown on TV. The article mentions that the shorts are 7 minutes long.

Oh yeah. That makes more sense now. The cartoons on the Disney Treasures are about 7 minutes long, too.

I remember watching incredulously when Elmer had a gun at Daffy's face... you wouldn't see the actual blast but the aftermath. It was a pretty jarring cut so it was obvious that something was cut. At least I remembered how they were back before the "anti-violence in cartoon" crusade.

I always thought it was funnier when you'd see the blast effects coupled with the aftermath after the smoke cleared.

...maybe I just need professional help...

Just watched a few of these....

Oh man, my words cannot describe the brilliance of these shorts. If you love Looney Tunes, then buy the set. The shorts are UNCUT, the transfer is unbelievable considering the age of the source (WWII era), and the special features are incredible.
Buy it. Watch it. Love it. You won't regret it.
