Suikoden III help needed!
I'm supposed to go to my house (beginning of the game) but I can't freaking find it 
I've been to the castle, to the pub, to the shops, to the market... where's the house?! I've spent over half an hour wandering about.
Sigh

you are playing as the girl?
it's the mansion in the town that starts with a V? it's on the lower left of the map.
the mansion is behind a fence on the far left side (opposite side of the bar that is down by the docks)
hope that helps? might not be 100% accurate.. been a while since i played it...

Yes I'm playing as Chris the girl. I'm at the part where I'm supposed to get home. I'm at the docks next to the bar and STILL can't find it. Opposite the bar there's an outside fruit market. Sigh. The map shows the bar to the right, the water on the bottom, and a little circle in the middle. Argh

Make sure you wander all over town. The town is a big circle with alleys that allow you to cut through the center. If I remember, the mansion is towards the left side. It'll be on a separate screen with a street running from the top to the bottom on the screen. There should be a fancy looking gate that you can go through.

I don't remember it being right by the bar. I thought it was on the left path as you head towards the exit of town (but it has been months since I played). But wherever it is, it's a gap in a wall, not an actual door (you go to the gap and I think it pops you inside).

It is where the Town hall is.
On the left side, there is a little yard (look at the map on the upper right hand corner very carefully and you will notice a small yellow dash line). You walk in and the cinema starts.
Btw, I played this game about halfway to chapter 4, and quit.
I love some of the characters but sometimes, the boss fight is so overwhelming and you have to do just the right thing to beat him (like leveling up the right person with the right rune).
No creativity in terms of new strategy or such. I gave up and traded it in for KOTOR.

BTW, not all the towns are as big and confusing as that first town.

Okay you are in the right area (Town Hall).
Now, head 'up' or Left. As if you are leaving the town (you know how you have to climb an incline on both sides to get to the entrance of the town?). But don't go to the next area (where the entrance of the town is), on your left, you should see (but hard to spot) a house w/yard (u can only really see the yard, b/c how the perspective changes as you are moving).

You want to walk to the east side of town, run along the east side (far left) wide until you get to a gate, thats your house. You have to push the action button to enter it. From the town square people mentioned, its just to the left of that from a birdseye view point of view (not perspective wise! ) Its a long road, there's a guy running in that direction sometimes.
