Full Cold Mountain Trailer

http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hv&id...511&cf=trailer

Yahoo has posted the full trailer for Cold Mountain. Looks beautfiul to me. They generally hate it over at the Rotten Tomatoes forum. Which is in keeping with their tradition of having no taste. Oh, and I thought The English Patient and Talented Mr. Ripley were great films.

I'll say this, Minghella knows how to make a movie look stunning. (BTW another Mr. Ripley fan here )

If they can avoid the patented Miramax hard-edged sappy style of something like The Hours this could be really good.

thanks for posting the trailer, this looks like a good one. Looks romantic and epic, can't wait to see it. Does the trailer seem to capture the spirit of the book? I haven't read it myself.

It looks pretty good, but Nicole Kidman(as always)looks stunning. I didn't quite picture her when I read the book a few years ago. I guess I will have to read it again to get myself reacquainted with the material.

The trailer captures the general spirit of the book, though of course being a trailer it includes *all* the money shots.

Combat -- and, for that matter, kissing -- doesn't occupy nearly as large a percentage of the book as it does the trailer. But then a trailer that was mostly Jude Law wandering in the wilderness wouldn't sell many tickets.

Cool. I'll check it out. Both Englsh Patient and Mr. Ripley are in my favorite top 10 of all-time. So you bet I'll be there for Cold Mountain on day 1.

The trailer looks horrible.
And I loved Talented Mr. Ripley & English Patient.

Nicole Kidman may look beautiful but she sounds like a fraud
Zellwegger just looks and sounds ridiculous.

Jude Law is not believable as a soldier (come on...)

This film just reeks of overblown sentimentality.
But I'll still see it. And then make my final judgement (I was
wrong about The English Patient).

I just think the trailer makes it look really dumb is all.
