'Sixty Six To Timbuktu' is a 2CD set capturing both his pre and post Led Zeppelin career plus a whole lot of rarities to boot. |
Disc 2 is the treasure chest of rare gems. It dates back to 1966 and includes songs from Plant's pre-Zep band Band of Joy plus many tracks only ever released on soundtrack or compilation albums.
The album, Plant's first ever compilation, will be released early November.

I'll buy it for the rarities, but I'm very p*ssed that it won't include ANYTHING from his first (and best) album, Pictures At Eleven. "Slow Dancer" and "Burning Down One Side" both received a lot of airplay from that album. And "In The Mood" is a glaring omission...

Either space reasons or that the artist didn't like the song in the first place (ozzy's gh without no more tears or anything from that album, or was that Sharon who hated it)

Plant's solo material has always been hit or miss for me, so I will wait and see some of the reviews and hopefully get some audio clips before I make my final decision.
