It doesn't say the Cube lost money. It says that they didn't hit their sales target.

Um, am I missing something? I don't see anywhere in the article where it states how much it costs to make each gamecube?
It's says they lost money due to "a 40 billion yen one-off loss on its $5 billion of dollar-denominated assets and weak demand for the GameCube."

hmm... all this article says is "Topic starter looks like ass in front of people that actually know how to read."
On numerous occasions Nintendo has stated that they always make money on their console sales. So if you are talking about Nintendo losing money on per console sales like Sony and MS are percieved to do then you'd be hard pressed to find info that supports it. Although since the $99 price drop there are no statements from Nintendo... so perhaps this is the first time.
