Out of those I will be picking up..

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Maybe for Cube though)
Grabbed by the Ghoulies
Grand Theft Auto Double Pack
Midway Arcade Treasures
Ninja Gaiden
Deus Ex: Invisible War

The only ones I am really dying for are Grabbed by the Ghoulies and the Midway pack. The other's I might pick up used (Mostly because Nintendo has a ton of great titles coming out also)

I feel like we're running into similar territory to Groucho's October release list, which covers all consoles. If we don't see a November release list from him, maybe we can re-open this.

I spoke to Groucho and he said he will be creating a Nov thread the 3rd week of October for accurate results. Makes sense to leave this thread closed then. However if you want to drop the titles to only the top notch you are looking forward to and just as a springboard to discuss those, I think that would be fine.

I'm not sure what the status is on Groucho's new thread, but since it seems in unclear, I'm reopening this thread.

You're way off on this one. Both versions come out in March of 2004. I wish it came out next month, lol.

Wait, this thread is a joke post or something right?

About 90 percent of the titles you listed are cross platform.

"There aren't enough quality titles availble for Xbox owners"

Yeah, you've hit the lottery. The third party cross platform lottery.

He never said that these titles were X-Box exclusives... he just said that they were available for the X-Box.

i don't think this thread title should have the word xbox in it. this is more of a "rest of the year releases" thread, aside from the fact that it leaves off nintendo and PS2 exclusives......

I started this thread about a month ago regarding XBOX releases, because I have an Xbox. It wasn't meant for cross-platform discussion, hence the subject of the thread ("Xbox owners...").

And since I wasn't aware this thread was reopened until just now, there's a fair amount of cleanup to do on the release list.

I never meant to start a release schedule for all platforms - that would be too much work, and something Groucho was all too happy to do before anyway. This one is for Xbox owners exclusively, sorry. Of course, you are always welcome to look, if it will help you pick up an Xbox of your own!

Amen Jeremy!

I just got my new copy of OXM in and was looking for their release calendar for November. There is no way I will be able to buy all of these:

GTA: Double Pack (11/4)
True Crime (11/4)
LOTR: Return of the King (11/5)
Medal of Honor: Rising Sun (11/11)
Midway Arcade Treasures (11/17)
Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy (11/18)
Need for Speed Underground (11/17)
Metal Arm: Glitch in the System (11/18)

Others I would like to rent or check out that are coming in November - Prince of Persia, Terminator 3, Beyond Good & Evil, Links 2004, Project Gotham Racing 2

And this is just for one month. Note that some of the dates could be incorrect.

Yeah, that was my main reason for starting this thread, to show the flood of great Xbox releases literally days apart. And just look at the list, the inclusion of XBL support is going to make many take a second look some titles that they might have let pass them by!

Yes, it's a great time for Xbox owners for sure!

Jeremy

Okay, release dates are updated. Also, titles indicate whether it is an XBOX exclusive or Console exclusive, and if it supports XBOX Live.

Thanks for the encouraging words!

After updating the release schedule, here are some statistics for you:

Total Titles: 72
XBOX or Console Exclusives: 27 (38%)
XBOX Live Enabled Titles: 22 (31%)

So really 62 percent of titles are cross platform. I bet that's pretty close if not dead-even to other consoles this holiday season.

As for as exclusives go, Jedi Academy and Ninja Gaiden are the only two I'm interested in, and I'm waiting for reviews of those.

But to be fair, there's not much on the PS2 or GCN coming out this fall I want either.

Only must buy is LOTR: ROTK (multiplatform) and probably Mario Kart and FFX-2.
