Your Favorite Scene/Hour From "24"
I know many people here love this show. I do too. So I thought this could be interesting so it has a big fan base here.
It can be from either season 1 or season 2. You can obviously have more than one favorite scene/hour. Just preface it with what season it corresponds to, so people who haven't seen that particular season yet won't read spoilers.
I'll chime in soon.

When Kim got caught in the cougar trap. It was a turning point for many people to realize that I wasn't senselessly complaining about the lack of direction in much of the show's writing.
Other than that, when Jack says goodbye to Kim.

Isn't this better for the dvd forum, though? Both seasons are on dvd and everyone can catch up on them. Granted, it's a TV show, but people who post about movies on DVD don't put them in the movie forum.
Not a big deal, just my thoughts. Works in both places I guess.

Anyway, my favorite hour was probably 8am-9am (the first episode) of Season 2.

It's a discussion about a TV show and its episodes/moments. If this thread were about your favorite special feature, a sound/picture glitch, or some other topic related to the actual DVDs, then it would belong in the "Main" Forum.
An okay rule of thumb is this... "Could I still discuss this topic if the DVDs themselves didn't exist or are not going to exist?" If so, then it probably doesn't belong in the Main Forum.

My favorite moment, for its sheer gut-punch-edness, is when Jack finds his wife dead. That's how the first season ended, right? He's crying over her body, and we get the clock, and that's it? Seems like both seasons end on a downer... first that, and then Palmer collapsing to the ground at the end of S2.

The one where Kim showed up in my bedroom, and I said "what are you doing here?" And she said, "what are you doing here?" So I said, "I sleep here." And she said, "well then, so do I." And I said, "But I'm not tired." So she said, "me neither." And then I heard these soft violins playing as she slowly walked toward me, and ... um ... the one where Jack gets angry and shouts a lot. Yeah, that one ... I gotta go ...

quite honestly..
any time that Kim wasn't onscreen...panties, bra, whatever...it doesn't matter...
having said that...I did like when Jack asked shot that guy in the first ep of the second season and asked for a hacksaw...

I think the most intense part of the show for me was Jack threatening to shoot Ali's wife and kids.
The teaser from the previous week, when all we saw was Jack saying "I hate you for what you're about to make me do..." had me waiting in anticipation all week to see what he did.

I'm not sure which hour it is(either 6am-7am or 7am-8am)in Season 1, but the hour in which the assassination of Senator Palmer was to take place with Jack as the shooter. Very intense IMO.

Second favorite hour : The teleconference trial for Palmer's Presidency.
Third Place : As mentioned above, Jack's "assasination attempt" on Palmer.
I still love this show. Can't wait til season 3.

Easily the best hour of that show. Very heavy stuff for an action series.

A little off topic...but did anyone else notice in Season 1, Jack and others were constantly fighting off sleep during the last 9 hours or so...and at one point Jack's scarfing down food at CTU because he hasn't eaten in like 15 hours or something like that...in season two everyone seems so perky
it really took a lot away in the "realism" of Season 2 compared to Season 1.
Yeah, I know...such a nitpicker...but it's been bothering me!

Well remember that S1 starts when everyone has already been up for a good 18 hours or so. In S2 they've probably only been awake for 2 or 3 hours when it starts so it makes sense that they would be more alert in the later hours of the season.

in series 1 it was the scene when jack was threatening to stuff that towel down that guys throat, scary stuff. In series 2 I liked the hour after the plane crashed and jack was taking on attack squad and also the last hour when he was fighting with that bloke in the corridor in the sports arena.
