Read this in my newest issue of PSM. Apparently a remake of Y's I & II was done in Japan on the PS2. NEC was hoping to bring this one out here in the U.S. but Sony has denied NEC permission to do it. The article didn't explain the reason for Sony's decision...my guess is it probably wouldn't sell well. As a fan of the series I would love to see this happen but it doesn't look likely

Okay.. it's official, Sony sucks balls. Why would they deny a company to bring over such a quality game, and there are 30 Olsen Twins games and monthly gems from Acclaim on the PS2?

Ugh, this sucks. I loved this game on the Turbo, and what I've seen of the remake was awesome.

This is really baffling.. I mean, there's a good portion of the PS2 audience that will buy anything anime and/or RPG related..

It makes no sense to deny a game like this as mentioned above there is no lack of crappy games on the PS2 so I cant see it being a quality issue. I wish they would bring it over on another platform so we can play it, I am sure X-Box would be more than happy to allow NEC to bring another quality RPG to their system.

Y's Books I & II is great game if SOny let NEC release in the US this year or next year... it may do alot damage to Final Fantasy XII, XI Sale.

As for myself I am getting bore w/ FF.......i gather pickup Y's Book 1 & 2 whensoever it release

Yeah, I personally loved the Ys series too. I still have my Ys VI on preorder. It should be shipping soon. Can't wait!

I doubt Y's would dent any FF title's sales.. just isn't going to happen.

So they're up to 6 now, eh..? I know I, II, and III were released here.. there are 2 totally different Y's IV games, and Y's V on SNES I think. Fun little series.
