Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes at Babbages, but not Best Buy?
I bought D&D: Heroes at Babbages this past weekend. However, it's not even on the shelves at Best Buy... checking their website, they're not scheduled to get it until mid-October. What gives? I didn't think certain stores got games way ahead of others. GameSpot has already reviewed it, and they list the release date as last week.

I'd imagine as not being a game specialty store, Best Buy's not going to get every title on release date, possibly some lower profile titles taking a couple weeks to make it in-store.

It could be a website error. I remember a couple games that were already released but the Best Buy site had them listed as pre-orders even though they were available in the stores.
Being a major chain, Best Buy should have every title out on release date.

Best Buy always gets their games a few days after the specialists like Gamestop and EB. There is no universal "release" date like in the DVD world, instead there is a ship date.
As a general rule, game stores usually get the games on the shelves 1-2 days later. Best Buy and CC 3-4 days later. Wal-Marts and Targets 5-6 days later.

I know Best Buy doesn't necessarily get games & software in right on Tuesday, but so far, Best Buy's running about a week behind Babbages... they're usually not that late.
And the game is fine... good, even. GameSpot gave it a 6.6, which I thought was undeserved. You can read my rebuttal here: http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/rpg/dun...s/readers.html
