Best place to buy new and used CDs for a bargain

The title says it all. Ive heard a few good websites that sells used CDs at a good price which appear new to most, cant think of the site though.

I shop mostly at AllDirect, which is great if you buy in bulk (free shipping over $99).

I never got an answer, so I took a chance. Good prices, just hope they ship ok. Shipping was only 5.97 plus I found a $5 off coupon for them. Here's what I got:
Johnny Cash American IV: The Man Comes Around [CD & DVD] $11.99
Elvis Presley Elvis: 2nd To None (Canadian Version-Better Cover) $10.99
Sheryl Crow The Very Best Of Sheryl Crow [CD & DVD] $15.99
Avril Lavigne Avril Lavigne: My World (with CD) $13.99
Stone Temple Pilots Thank You [CD & DVD] [PA] $15.99
Triumph The Insult Comic Dog Come Poop With Me [CD & DVD] [PA] $8.99
Lionel Richie Lionel Richie: The Collection Volume One DVD $9.99
King of the Hill - Season 2 DVD (best price I've seen) $26.99
Pink Try This [PA] (Canadian Release-has Feel Good Time on it) $10.99

umm, is there something i'm not seeing? i don't/didn't see you ask that question at all...

anyway, when i choose the "quicker" ship method, i usually get it within a week. that's coming all the way from the east coast.

that's nice and all, but unfortunately it doesn't really help. there aren't local shops in everyone's area. i know the "local shops" around here are crap for used music and bargain new cds. therefore, i use the internet to buy 85% of my cds.

I hate ordering online. It's fun to get out and find stuff.
I find the best used CDs at the local pawn shops for $2 or $3 each.

Re: Best place to buy new and used CDs for a bargain

Sorry for the bump, but the search function is horrible and this is was Google gave me.

I was looking on Amazon used listings and I came across something I was hoping somebody could clarify. Many sellers have "may be a tearout" listed, but I have no idea what it means. Anybody?

Also, while thread gets a bump anybody care to update recommendations?

I think that those are promos where the barcode has a hole punched in it.

Yup. Or a massive slash through the packaging/UPC.

Re: Best place to buy new and used CDs for a bargain

What's the point of this? I'm seeing a lot of CDs for sale through Amazon's marketplace for cheap, and "may be a tear out" is the only issue.

Does anybody have feedback on the top Amazon Marketplace sellers? Most seem to have good ratings.

If you are buying used, it means you don't care about the packaging. (Unless it's some OOP box set)

Re: Best place to buy new and used CDs for a bargain

The tear out, or notch, just means that it was a promotional item (for radio stations usually) and can't be returned to a store for credit. The CD is perfectly fine, it's just a physical mark on the CD case.
