Bjork's "Gling-glo" ??
Umm, I saw this album listed as coming out early Sept but I've heard absolutely nothing about it here. Is this some specialty album rather than a traditional studio album? Can anybody who has it comment on it.

I have it. I enjoy it for what it is; Bjork doing some real traditional lounge-type jazz.
It isn't a particularly good/representative example of either "Bjork" or "jazz."

It's actually been out for many years...she recorded it before she was just "Bjork." It's a very traditional and natural sounding album, where Bjork plays the part of a "lounge singer." A very recommended album if you are a fan of Bjork. It's only been available as an import, so I guess they're giving it an official U.S. release, which is awesome.

I think her voice mixes well with the instrumentation and the muisc on this album. It's worth a listen just on the aspect that it is interesting...unless of course you only listen to music only based on it having a good beat.

By the way. If you are a Bjork fan you need to buy the DVD Live at the Royal Opera House. One amazing show.
