Blake was classic, "You call yourself a salesman, you son of a bitch?", but Roma tore Williamson up, "Whoever told you you could work with men?" or "You f**king child!". Pacino's only decent performance since Sea of Love.

I'm surprised no one has voted for Blake yet. He was so hardcore.
MOSS: What's your name?
BLAKE: F*** you. That's my name. Why? Because I drove an $80,000 BMW to get here tonight and you drove a f***ing Hyundai. That's my name.

Although Roma does a better job of ripping someone a new a-hole, the answer MUST be Blake. Ask people to name one scene to take to a desert island from this film and the answer would invariably be the Alec Baldwin scene. It's THE textbook example of OWNING a scene. Baldwin owns the scene, and Blake "owns" the other characters. A classic.

That watch costs more than you car. I made $970,000 last year. How much you make? You see pal, that's who I am, and you're nothing. Nice guy, I don't give a shit. Good father, fukc you! Go home and play with your kids! You wanna work here, close! You think this is abuse? You think this is abuse, you cokcsucker? You can't take this, how can you take the abuse you get on a sit?

just watched this movie again Wednesday night. God what a good film. I'll go with Roma on Williamson, but Baldwin makes the movie sizzle.

Hey guys, on a related note...what do you think Levine was going to say to Roma at the very end of the movie?
Levine is called into the office by the cop, and he repeatably tries to say something to Roma but Roma is on the telephone. Do you think it might have been something to do with his daughter...such as: "Look out for my daughter for me?"

Maybe. But I always thought Shelley's calling out for Ricki was an admission of defeat. That he wanted Ricki's attention on the off-chance the 'better salesman' could get him out of this jam. Shelley thinks 'If only I was a better salesman like Ricki, I could somehow sell this cop on the idea of letting me go.'

It's interesting to note that in the actual stage play after Levine goes into the office with the detective, Williamson comes out. Roma pulls Williamson aside and demands 50% of all Levine's sales (because Williamson screwed him earlier). So Roma's flattery toward Levine only moments before was a farce. Good ol' 2-faced Ricky Roma.
