The "assembled cast of this unforgivable family shit-com represents the unholy apex of loathsome TV personalities. Who to hate more? 'Cool' hair-diva Uncle Jesse? Bullwinkle impression-spouting 'comedian' Joey? Chokingly wholesome "ass clown" father Danny? Or any of the kids? Being clubbed in the head with a blackjack would be preferable to hearing the middle brat utter, "How rude!" one more time.

The worst: Satan's first family prances around the Magic Kingdom in a shameless, two-episode sales-pitch for Disney World.

Sorry folks, Kim Bauer didn't make the cut this time.

I read this on the crapper last night and thought it was pretty amusing until I saw them list Faceman. That's uncalled for. They said he didn't have any skills ... wtf, did they ever watch the show? Not only did he get the hookup into any installation by conning some lady with his charm, but he was a demolition and explosive expert. Jackasses.

Interesting list. Of course, it is all subjective, but I actually like some the characters, but as far as I am concerned, number one should be:

Kathie Lee Gifford

I hated Cindy Brady far more than Jan Brady.

I am with them on Diane from Cheers. I really don't care for the first 4-5 season of Cheers mainly because of her. She could be my #1 although Serena Sotherlyn (Elizabeth Rohm) from Law & Order is closing fast.

Others on my list:

Wesley Crusher
Vanessa Huxtable
Charlotte York - Sex and The City
Brooke Campbell (funny how Kristin Davis comes up twice) - Melrose Place
Kelly Taylor (after the first couple seasons) - BH 90210
Amy Gardner - West Wing
Janice Soprano
Brooke Harper - Boston Public

I'm sure I can think of more.

36. Capt. Benjamin "Hawkeye" Pierce - M*A*S*H
He should be nowhere NEAR a "most hated characters" list. I mean, is that a joke or something?

I can see where Hawkeye could make a list like this. There were some episodes where he was very annoying. For the most part, however, I liked his character a lot.

Is Kathy Lee, Dr. Phil , Bryant Gumble really "characters"? Are they not really tv personalities?

Oh - I didn't even see that one. He should definitely be in the top-5 for sure. Btwn him and Crackhead, Monday Night Countdown is unwatchable. I feel bad for TJ and Jaws having to share the desk with those bozos.

They lose major points for including these on the list, but they more than make up for it by including "Bobby Donnell" at #17.

I agree with most of that list, except for Wilbur and Cousin Larry. I love both of those characters.

Although I like some of the characters on the list, I'd have to say the list seems pretty good and amusing.

He definitely is in my top 5 most annoying TV personalities ever. A man who knows little about sports & only cares about creating annoying catch-phrases & pretending he is friends with Shaq & other annoying athletes.

Lisa Kudrow's character on Friends is probably my all-time most hated TV character.

I like many of the people on that list and was surprised to see them listed. Was this a poll or did they just invent this list on their own?

I've grown up watching MASH and I can understand this. There was one point, especially near the end of the series in the last few seasons, I really grew weary of his character. I could understand why Wayne Rogers left the show, angry that the producers of the series were making Alan Alda the star. Alan Alda was great in the character, but he could be such a scene stealer at times it grew annoying. I've gotten over over time, and can watch him without grimace on the season sets FOX is cranking out, but there was a time I got sick of him too. There was a time I got sick of Bart Simpson too, but thankfully the producers of the Simpsons helped to continue making his characters and others on the show good.

True dat, but even more so is Counselor Troi's mother, Luxana (or however the hell you spell it)

Any episode of STTNG that features her gets automatically turned off.

I'd add these:

Scrappy Doo (later Scooby Doo episodes)
Brian Dunkelman (American Idol season 1)
Kim Bauer (24)
George (Big Brother 1)
Janice Soprano (The Sopranos)
All Cast Members (Real World)
Connor (Angel)
Rosie O'Donnell (Rosie O'Donnell Show)

I would add that annoying whiny bitch from Will and Grace. The couple of times I tried to watch that show, that little whiny bitch annoyed me so much I had to turn off the tv.

I would take out:

Hawkeye
Frasier
The Professor - anybody who makes a radio out of a coconut has got it going on
Faceman
Joe Besser (not exactly a TV icon to begin with)

and add in:

7 of 9
The DJ from Northern Exposure
The rest of the cast of friends
Sarah Jessica Parker - Sex and the City
Regis Philbin
