ninja scroll 10th anniversary edition review??

hi

I was wondering if the review for Ninja Scroll 10th anniversary ed. out yet?? Tried to do a search, but couldn't find anything.

I want to know what the difference btw the old version w/ the anniversary ed and which one is better.

so I guess the full screen side will look funny on a 16x9 set
but the 16x9 is cut, damn it why can't they just do a 1.85:1 transfer

Not sure I understand the question, syphon00. If the original source material is 1.37:1-ish, the only way to have a 1.85:1 presentation would be to do what was apparently done for this transfer -- crop it.

im surprised everything doesn't look like crap, i mean, 2 dts tracks, 2 dd ex tracks ect, wouldn't that create a whole hell alot of compression?

Yeah, but I think that anime generally runs at a much lower bitrate anyway. You're talking about cell-based animation; for perhaps most of the film, the image is the same for several frames in a row.
