I just noticed that on Sept 2nd Kino released a special edition of James Wale's wonderful black comedy The Old Dark House w/ Karloff etc.. Just wondering if anyone else is excited for this release and has picked it up yet? I am waiting on my copy.

Looks as if this is a reissue of the Image release, which I picked up about a year ago - it's fantastic, with lots of extras. You're in for a treat!

This is one of my favorite DVD's; watched it many times.
There are two commentaries, very good.
I can't recomend this one enough.

I am so glad they released this again. A terrific story of restoration alone, this is a great treatment of a film we are lucky to able to see. The photo gallery is a nice extra and Curtis Harrinton's interview about saving the film is interesting and concise. This disc sits nicely next to my Frankenstein's and Invisible Man.
The Kino catalogue thats included is making me pine for the German Horror Classics box set next.
