Forget who the player is, but after two games, could these be considered Heisman Numbers?

I would say they are borderline. The COMP % is a little low.

It's pretty difficult to be talking Heisman after TWO games, no matter what the numbers.

I know, I know. But those are good numbers and the local papers here in Denver haven't even mentioned in any big way that Van Pelt is having a good year. We're a good team just starting to get recognition around the nation and we can't even get press in the local news. Actually upsets me quite a bit. If we ever want to play with the big boys, we need to toot our own horn so we can get better recruits, at least locally. Hyping our QB could help get another good QB interested in our school.

Hey, Bradlee Van Pelt got recognition...for spouting off about how he hates CU and think they're overrated. :D Sure, the Rams lost, but I think he gained a lot of respect that game for being a tough SOB and not backing down and giving up.

To be honest, I haven't seen him play so I don't know what his chances are for the Heisman. Looking at the CSU schedule, though, they're going to have to almost win every game and Van Pelt is going to have to have some monster numbers to be considered with players from top-tier schools.

The loss to Wake Forest hurt. I think NC State has to beat Ohio State and/or Florida State (among all of their other games) in order for Rivers to have a shot at the Heisman. Also, a win against Virginia and doing well in the ACC would help greatly. His numbers are pretty damn good for 2 games, though.
