Any "experts" on swing/jazz or Cab Calloway here?
I have big question as to just what year this song is that I just found on the net was recorded or something, so I know what album to pick up. The song is Minnie the Moocher, but I don't know what album this certain version would be on.
If you could help me, post here or IM me on AIM using Downhome00, thanks a lot.

Calloway recorded that song several times, including for the Bettie Boop cartoon by the same name and The Blues Brothers soundtrack. It can be found on any of his "Best of" albums, but there are several versions...so it would be hard to know which one you had without comparing.

Is there an audible audience track? It could be from The Blues Brothers soundtrack.

Whoever this is, I also have him singing "It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)", and it's of the exact same quality, etc... So I assume it's possibly off of the same album.

Possible to post like a 10-minute clip? Cab's got a very very unique voice so you'd be able to tell quickly if it was him or not. I highly doubt it is ODB (who redid the song).
More than likely it's the recording where the audience is helping out (and completely breaks down after trying to mimic his skat). This, I believe, is the most famous rendition of his song, so more than likely if you bought a CD it would have that live cut on it.
Mind you, AMG lists about 100 releases with that song on it...
