Ever notice that Sydney's Landcruiser changes color thoughout episodes on Alias

I've been watching Alias S1 on DVD and noticed that Sydneys Toyota Landcruiser starts out as light blue then is a dark grey & finally (so far) to a burgundy color in later episodes. I'm currently on DVD #4.

Anyone else notice this?

I'm hooked on this show BTW! It's like crack on video, I can't stop- watching! Glad I'm off for two days! This is the first time I've seen the show, as I did not/don't watch the series on network TV.

Is it her personal vehicle, or is it an SD-6 company car? Perhaps they have a policy on that sort of thing.

Moving to TV Talk.

Always thought it was a company car, since she drives like 5 or 6 different ones over the course of two years.

Doesn't she get a Ford Focus eventually? I just remember the blatant product placement for some model car, but I forget which.

Alias S2 did have some pretty bad Ford Focus product placement. About two-thirds of the way into the season,
Spoiler:
when Syd and Vaughn are going to that bank in Switzerland to try and nab Sloane, they drive there in a Focus. Then, Sloane gets the upper hand, and forces Sydney to drive him away in his own, personal Focus.
It was just not at all subtle.

And why, out of all the cars in Switzerland, would they choose to drive a Ford Focus?

If it's the company car, doesn't that sort of ruin her cover?

No, because it would be the bank's company car.

I have another random Alias question (I don't have 2 days off so it's taking me forever to get through these discs)

Do we ever find out who Will's contact was on the SD-6 story? I've been racking my brain and I just don't remember.

wasn't it
Spoiler:
jack bristow? In the episode where he gets kidnapped, the masked man with the voice box who's been calling him takes off his mask (not in front of him) and it turn's out it was jack all along

It wasn't who Rypro said. It was
Spoiler:
the alliance of Khasinau and Sark. Which necessarily also involves The Man/Irina/SpyMommy. Jack Bristow also uses a voice modifier (or whatever you'd call it) when he's talking to Will, but only because he doesn't want Will to recognize his voice. This makes sense, because Irina and Khasinau wanted to bring down SD-6 for its Rambaldi artifacts... having Will print the story would definitely help uncover Ye Olde Sectione Disparu. It doesn't make sense for Jack Bristow to be the one pushing Will to uncover the story, and then for Jack to kidnap Will later and try to convince him to not uncover the story. Jack and Sydney have a conversation in the last few episodes about this topic... that Khasinau and The Man want to bring down SD-6 through Will, and that they also want to expose Jack and Sydney as double agents.
I didn't fully grasp this until I watched the eps on DVD, though... I was confused about the whole thing until recently.

OK, I knew it wasn't Jack because
Spoiler:
in the ep where Sd-6 is held hostage, Jack is there taking care of business while Will receives a phone call from his source. The Man/Irina/Sark connection makes sense

Spoiler:
The Man/Irina/Sark connection is where it stems from, but the actual caller is CIA Agent Steven Haladki (played by Joey Slotnick), who is working for "The Man." This is how Sark knew where Will was being kept, and also why Jack killed him in the season finale.

Ohhh, that makes sense now. I can't wait until S2 is released so I can relive all these dangling plotlines.

I think thats called "the new begining" or something like that. Its the first of the reboot episodes in season 2, opening scene (and we see it twice, won't spoil why though), all with back in black by acdc in the background.
