sheesh - Xbox still gets the shaft... I don't care though - I'll probably pick it up used later since I've already played through both of them. Thanks for the heads up though.

Oh... just cuz rumor was that they were supposed to get this double pack like it was just an xbox thing - now PS2 is getting it as well and they get it a few weeks earlier. I know Xbox wasn't even supposed to get the game... blah blah blah... save it. *talk to the hand

VERY cool. Even though Im not a huge fan of Grand Theft Auto, it will be another PS2 exclusive title to convert to Xbox. Now only Ratchet and Clank and Kingdom Hearts and I can dump my Junkstation 2.

Did I miss something?

Anyway, this is cool, I've never played the GTA series as I currently have a GC and an X-Box. If it is priced reasonably, I'll definitely check it out. Hopefully the release for the X-Box will have something unique to it and not just a bad port.

The $10 more covers:

1. Better graphics.
2. Better sounds.
3. Customizable soundtracks.
4. New game for that particular console.

Even at $50 this is a whole lotta game for the price. They probably have it discounted for PS2 since so many people already have it plus the XBOX version will have better graphics and all the usual bells and whistles...

ps. Just FYI, the eyetoy is doing really well in the UK!

They aren't doing a direct port?

They were porting GTA3 for Xbox back when the game first came out before Sony paid for exclusive rights, and the above mentioned items were promised for the Xbox version.. so it's only safe to assume they'll be there now.

You don't port a port. Trust me, it was meant to be a joke.

While the PC versions were ports, they added enhanced textures and customizable soundtracks. The Xbox version will be ported from the upgraded PC versions, rather than the original PS2 versions.
