La Strada specs, plus spine info on Richard III, Naked Lunch
Straight from Criterion's website...Spine 219, La Strada!
-New high-definition digital transfer, with restored image and sound
-Video introduction by Martin Scorsese
-Audio commentary by Peter Bondanella, author of The Cinema of Federico Fellini
-Federico Fellini’s Autobiography, a 2000 documentary originally broadcast on Italian television (according to IMDB, 68 minutes in length)
-Optional English-dubbed soundtrack featuring the voices of Anthony Quinn and Richard Basehart
-New essay by film scholar Peter Matthews
-New and improved English subtitle translation
-Optimal image quality: RSDL dual-layer edition
And there we are. Not quite as meaty as one might have hoped for, but the long wait is over. I'm sure the film will look and sound as fantastic as possible. No cover art yet.
Spine 220 will be Cronenburg' Naked Lunch ...the cover art can be found in their website by maneuvering your web browser appropriately. No specs quite yet. The third disc of the month will be Olivier's Richard III. No specs on that one yet, either, though the boxart was available briefly, at Spine 221.
Chances are, we won't be seeing any more official specs on Criterion discs until late October, as Criterion takes a break during the Christmas months.

I couldn't find any listing of Naked Lunch on Criterion's site, but Davis DVD has the specs and cover:
The Criterion Collection has announced a few great titles for release on November 11th. First up is director David Cronenberg's deliciously twisted adaptation of William S. Burroughs' hallucinatory novel Naked Lunch. Dive into the Interzone with a brand new 1.85:1 anamorphic transfer and Dolby Digital audio tracks. Extras will include an audio commentary by Cronenberg and actor Peter Weller, special effects and production stills galleries, examples of the marketing campaign for Naked Lunch (including a featurette, B-roll montage, TV spots, and theatrical trailer), and excerpts from the novel read by author William S. Burroughs. Retail is $39.95.

Naked Lunch? I can think of two things wrong with that title... THERE! NOW THE JOKE IS OUT OF THE WAY!
It'll be interesting to get this... and hopefully the commentary will be for more than half the film!

I've always dreamed that Criterion would get their hands on Naked Lunch. I'm so happy I could cry. **tear**
I was hoping that whenever Naked Lunch was released on dvd it would have an isolated music track, but we can't have everything we want in life I guess.

My god it makes me weep (with joy!) when someone actually decides to put GOOD DESIGN on a dvd cover
I have never seen this movie before...
I don't know if I ever will...
But the cover is beautiful,
and I am happy
