Iron Giant SE - released now????
Just wondering what exactly is going on with regard the 'Iron Giant SE' as i had thought it was delayed to coincide with the release of 'The Incredibles' in 2004...however with confirmation of the Korean R3 being available and strangley enough people off another forum who had pre-ordered the R1 suddenly receiving shipping confirmations not to mention this:
http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASI...812366-0133130
is this now available in Canada?

I was wondering the same thing the other night:
nevermind about the link. it doesn't seem to work
anyways, dvdpricesearch showed it as "coming tomorrow" on the August 25 section, with a click-thru showing the 2 disc SE.

Apparantly one Korean online retailer (Koreandvds.com) has completely sold out and as it is a Limited edition in Korea if you have region-free capability it is a matter of getting it while you still can assuming there isn't a R1 release already...but then again..why would Amazon.Ca say it 'ships in 2-3 days'?...very strange!!

DavisDVD mentioned November 2004 as the target date for the SE here in America?? Was that a typo? Because if it is going to take that long, I am going to go ahead and order the region 3 edition. Has anybody confirmed if Canada has this out yet, and if so, how do the special features stack up with the region 3 release?

According to an email I received from amazon.ca
Of course the person may just be regurgitating what's on the website w/o other research Anyone try ordering it yet? I noticed it was #15 wrt sales.
"Iron Giant: Special Edition" is listed on our web site as "Usually
ships in 2-3 days," and is the region 1 edition of this DVD. Most of
the DVDs sold by Amazon.ca are encoded for Region 1 (Canada and U.S.)
only and may not work on DVD players in other countries.

Pixar isn't really part of Disney, they're an independent company. However, they do have a distribution deal with Disney, so saying "Disney's The Incredibles" is half right.
