What's your high score on the free games that came with Windows?

You know... Minesweeper, Spider Solitaire, Pinball, Freecell, etc...

I recently lost all my high scores and was wondering how they would've ranked. I currently have 1203 on Spider Solitaire (easy). I'm kinda on a mission to see what the least amount of moves is. I've been consistantly getting under 100 moves.

insomnia is fun.

I had 9 seconds of Minesweeper easy once, but I'm guessing that's not hard to do.

I know - these are less like a video game than those flash games that people post in Other all the time. Whatever... grumble grumble moderators grumble...

I had some insane score on pinball once, but that was many computers ago.

How are they not video games?

They're games.. that you play on a video monitor.

Jesus, just because you can't kidney punch a hooker it's no longer a video game.

That's why this doesn't belong here... now you're trying to turn this into a discussion about what a video game is or isn't.

This is like discussing whether or not curling is a sport... this topic belongs in Other the same way all those threads about little online flash games belong there instead of here. It's something people do at work besides post to Other - they play flash games and solitaire and whatnot. It doesn't matter anyway... but if you have nothing constructive to add to the thread, then don't visit.

Oh - and I just got 1206 (94 moves) on Spider Solitaire.

As far as what's "constructive to add to the thread," the "grumble grumble mods" bit could've been handled over e-mail as well. I don't think "they're not video games" can be relevant at the same time as "they are video games" can be irrelevant.

"As far as" the "grumble grumble mods" "bit" - it was just a "tongue-in-cheek" comment and didn't need to be "handled" in "email". Besides... I wouldn't know who to "email" since I don't know who "moved" it. Only reason I commented is because this isn't a hot topic for "video game forum" and it'll disappear beyond this retarded argument about whether it's a "video game" or "not". Sure... it's a "video game" I guess, but there has to be a line drawn somewhere. Cuz, video poker is technically a video game according to pixi's definition which would mean that all vegas related threads belong here. Also - flash games that people post in other don't get moved here... and most of those games are more fun and involved than solitaire - and they also have more action and better graphics. So whatever - you guys do what you do. Move it to book forum if you want. That's life - it's just a thread. Peace.

Freecell people are fanatical. I saw where they actually farmed out all 32,000 combinations out to people to solve, and found out that exactly two games are unsolvable.

back in the day, I had 4 seconds on normal minesweeper. I clicked 2 times and won...total fluke.
