DOA 3 booster

I recently bought Dead or Alize 3 and heard that there was a booster disc that came in an issue of XBox Magazine. I'm curious to know what is on it and if it makes the game more enjoyable to play. Thanks.

Oh, Alexander, I see you beneath the archway of aerody...or, um, I mean, the disc doesn't have much of an effect on gameplay. It has a new intro movie that can only be viewed on the booster disc (doesn't copy over to your hard drive), along with a bunch of new costumes, some of which are indescribably goofy.

You can read more about the booster at http://www.xbox.com/news/0204/doa3boosterpack.htm

Along with a number of issues of the Official XBox Magazine, the booster was also included with the first "XBox Exhibition" disc, which should be pretty easy to track down and ought to run you less than $5.

You can still get "Exhibition Disc 1" from Target, TRU, and BB. In fact the BB near me still has about 15 of them.

And the $5 coupons usually work for me on these.

The disc sounds like it really adds a lot to the game and is a positive investment.

Thanks for the info.

I'll check my TRU tomorrow, but i don't have a Target or a BB near me. If TRU doesn't have it is there any way i could get you to pick me up one? I'll obviously pay for it and shipping. Many thanks.

I was looking on gamefaqs- It seems like the costumes the booster disc unlocks can be unlocked without it. Is this true?

Some can be, some can't. Bayman's scuba gear and some of Hitomi's extra outfits, for example, can only be obtained through the booster disc in the NTSC release of the game.

Not that i've heard of, I had to go through the trouble of tracking down the booster disc as well.

Well, I'll be darned if that ain't the truth! Used a Gamer's coupon and got the Vol 1 disc for free from Best Buy! Naughty schoolgirls, here I come!

Are Volumes 2 or 3 worthwhile? I didn't want to clear them out, but if they're just giving them away, I might have to take advantage of that...

Dont the employees ever check the $19.99 label on the coupon? Or do you guys buy other things along with the Demo? BTW, I believe Exhibtion Volume 2 has the complete Japanese version of Capcom VS SNK 2. You cant save or anything, but it has all characters and levels unlocked. Works great to play a few rounds with friends.

No, the extra content requires the booster disc or demo disc from XBN from everything that has been said about it.

If not I would think people would be exchanging thier disc's for the new version.

It's disc #1. It has Halo, splinter Cell, Peyton Manning, etc on the cover. They had a bunch of copies of it (as well as discs 2 and 3) at BB. And about the coupon, no I didn't buy anything else. I asked "Will this coupon work?" and then she scanned it in and it came out free. Very nice, but as always, YMMV.

No such luck here. So if you let me know how much you need to cover the disc and mail it to me i'll get the money out to you asap. Email me with your address and such and i'll send you mine - also let me know whether a personal check is ok or if you'd rather have amoney order or just cash in a card. Many thanks. Schoolgirl outfits will now be mine

This is the first time I've exchanged on the site. How do we actually exchange email addresses, do we post it here for all to see or is there a private way to do it?

I'll try to go by a store to pick it up today or tomorrow.

If you look above each of my posts there should be a link that says email. I made my email address public so you can email me and then i'll have yours to respond to without you sharing it with the general public. And trust me, between here and the Otter Farm the general public can be a scary thing
