... and all I can say is :whofart: ?

I liked the way that the stories wove in and out of each other, but that was about it.

Seemed to me like everyone should have died, but no one did. Hit by a car... lived. Took one too many pills... lived. Touch a dancer... lived (although I laughed out loaud when he was getting ready to get shot in the arm)!

I learned two major life lessons: 1) Don't do drugs and 2) avoid creepy-touchy-feely couples that are in both law enforcement and Amway...

I'll never be able to look at Jay Mohr and Scott Wolf the same way again...

What can I say, I really like the film. I saw it when it came out in the theatres, only knowing that it was directed by the guy that directed Swingers (Doug Liman) and having no preconceptions about it. I sat down and was very entertained for the next 1 1/2 hours or so. Is it realistic? Hell, no, but I find it to be quite funny, with a good cast, some memorable dialogue and not totally predictable like most of what I see from Hollywood these days. For whatever my option is worth, I strongly recommend it.

I can see how some deaths or a death may have added gravity, but at the same time, it was such a fun movie, and ends on such an up note, any death would have resonated. But I think I would not have cast Sarah Polley in the lead. She's a fine actress by all report(this is the only thing I've seen her in), but she seemed to play it WAY too serious and dour. I can buy her being in a bad mood because of her money, but I can't really see her :

a. bagging groceries
b. being friends with the Katie Holmes character
c. getting herself in that situation

I think an airy, flightier hand would have been stronger, and really sold the movie a lot more. But I own it and spin it every 6 months or so, and never miss it on cable.

It's "Confederated Products." It's a different company; it's a different quality of product.
