I've heard that this might be a full-screen only crappy release, but Amazon doesnt give a description...so how is it?

someone told me that it would be the same like Pioneer's old release... open-matte... which is got 2 version: matted widescreen & full-screen...
the widescreen actually lose certain % of the picture (top & bottom)...

for the old disc review (i assume it would be the same quality):

i got the old disc... not bad... but not good either

hope it helps

Same here. I have the OOP version and was thinkin' of upgrading, but it seems the only real difference is the cover-art...-shrugs-

Like the previous poster said, the transfer isn't terrible, but it is not great either.

Saw this on the shelf at Best Buy - no extras on this one, unlike the earlier release and full-screen.

for people who have the old OOP release, there is really no reason to buy this new release.

Not to mention the old one contained an option to watch the unrated version, while the new one doesn't.
