What 2 games are you buying from Toys 'R' Us?

Which 2 games should I get next week from Toys 'R' Us? I already have NBA Street 2, in my humble opinion the greatest sports game of all time (Madden 04 will be played in about an hour), and Splinter Cell. I'm leaning toward Enter the Matrix and Midnight Club 2, with the Hulk and Def Jam Vendetta also in the running.

Personally i would pass on Enter the Matrix, game was medicore. Midnight Club 2 is solid but I haven't tried the other two games you're thinking of.

Ack. Rent Enter the Matrix first.

It would be a shame to waste this deal on that game.

Will someone give me the details on this deal? Is it buy any 1 game and get another free? At any Toys R' Us? I'm going to the Mall Saturday, and if this is the case .. I would love to take advantage of this.

So, if so .. I'd get KOTOR for X-Box & Ghost Recon: Island Thunder for X-Box.

effigy, check out this thread.

If the lineup changes, as suggested in the thread, I'll take a look -- I plan on buying KOTOR at some point anyway, so if I can get another game for free out of the deal, all the better. I have enough unfinished games that, unless something extremely compelling comes up (none on that list really leap out as purchases to me; I only own an XBox, incidentally), I'll pass.

Moving to Lexington soon tho.

Thanks tyner.

Looks like I won't be able to take advantage of this. I'll be at the mall on Saturday and thats about 3 hours away, so I won't be able to make it back to a Toys R' Us on sunday. Sucks living in a small town.

As I understand it, the game deal will be available online as well. You'll have to pay for shipping, but it's cheaper than gas for you, I suppose.

I still don't understand why Amazon ships DVDs for free but not games. It's the same friggin' box! Are the instuction manual inserts THAT heavy?

*blech* I'll pass on those titles. I suppose by top 10 they mean the top 10 overstocked old games they have.

From everything I've seen, it's buy any game from that list, and get another game from that list for free.

How do they do gift receipts now? Can one of the games be returned for an item of equal value (but better quality )? I seem to remember they did something weird the last time they had a buy 2 get 1 free thing

That's a pretty good deal. I've already got Street 2. How's Def Jam Vendetta? Or Hulk?

Hulk was a fun game, but it's only worth a rental, some good unlockable stuff, but not enough I think.

Then again, you may like it

Can anyone confirm if the games on the list are the only ones available for this sale?

as far as PS2 goes, that IS the lineup that was printed on the signs.

in fact, my TRU had 8½x11 signs hanging up on the PS2 banner with the list...

Well, I saw the ad in today's paper, and in the fine print it mentioned to 'See Toysrus.com for Online offer'. I won't get to make it to TRU today, so I am worried they may sell out.

I went to the website, and it has a little blurb in the upper right hand corner of the 'Video Games' page about a Buy 1, Get 1 Free offer, and then a separate link to the list of games for each console. So, I added 2 for the 'cube (Splinter Cell and Enter the Matrix) to the Shopping Cart, but it never reduced the price of my order by 1 game.

Anyone else try this?

Try these codes at checkout:

Xbox - RXAUXBGAFREE
PS2 - RXAUPLAYSTGA
GC - RXAUTPNTGACU

Keep in mind the games have to come from TRUS. I noticed some were being offered by Office Depot and don't qualify for discount.
