Try HMV Japan or Amazon Japan..i believe it is cheaper at both these retailers and bearing in mind CD Japan tends to charge higher rates for packing and shipping.

As far as i'm aware the 'Dances With Wolves' Japanese 4 disc LE comes packaged in a leather case as standard.

It's a limited run of 15,000 for the leather case. If you preorder you shouldn't have any problem in getting it.

It's just that I've seen some Japanese DVD stores list it with a picture of the cardboard pacaking and not the leather.

As long as you guys are aware that this version will not have subtitles exclusively for the Sioux speaking parts of the movie (qutie a bit of it). The movie will have removable English subs, but only for the entire movie.

So the only way to get subs for the Sioux parts would be to either watch the movie all the way through with English subs, or manually switch them on when you think some one is gonna speak native American. Or I guess another option would be to learn Sioux .

Can someone tell me a rough percentage of how much of the movies dialogue is in Sioux? It has been a very long time since I have seen this movie (and I have never seen the extended cut). I am thinking about just picking up the R1 release instead of the R3 Kr, if there is a lot of dialogue in Sioux.

isnt't the R2J in fake leather which is actually platic?

I know the R3 korean is in real leather, only 26$ at koreandvds.com + s/h. And the korean is limited to 10K and supposedly the stock should be gone in a few months (domestic takeup was small but it sold excelently outside of korea)

there's quite a few dialogues in sioux, my guess would be 20mins in the longer version

That is the Korean release I was thinking about getting. However, you can find it cheaper at almost any Korean shop (koreandvds.com, dvdasian.com, yesasia.com etc).

if you are asking about the r3 which I presume you are:
the short booklet (3 pages) is in korean, very few lines in english (external reviews shorts)
the scene index (last page of booklet) lists the chapters in english only, for both disc 1&2 of the extended version and disc3 which containts the thetrical version

as for languages - never tried the short version but the extended one is english only, both DD and DTS tracks (full rate btw) are english, so are the two commentary tracks

of course not, but I write down this considering that it may contain dubbing in Korean.

lots of options there
the have great sales at the moment (3-4$ sale, old superbit sale etc)
have a look around
a better tomorrow collection/band of brother military pack/black hawk down superbit deluxe/equilibrium are quite common for first time R3 limited eds buyers
btw, if you go over 99$ total have a look at yesasia.com - you'll qualify for free shipping. Their prices are a bit higher than koreandvds but sometimes you can save a bit with the free shipping

$39is very reasonable price for free shipping but I am not eligible for free shipping for both cases because of location.

I couldn't find any information about stock status on koreandvds.com
