GamePro Sept. issue foul up?

Okay, I think GamePro made a major foul up this month. If you've recieved your copy take a look at page 41. And try to convince me that the Atari picture is indeed a desert.

For those that don't have the issue there's a picture of a bulldozer (with an Atari logo on it) pushing something similiar to tumbleweeds in the desert. First off, that bulldozer is a toy and those tumbleweeds aren't tumbleweeds...they look more like umm...hair.

I don't know if GP indeed for that sort of picture to appear in their magazine or not. I'm assuming their editor was rather careless in reviewing that image as it definitely doesn't fit with their target audience.

I was going to post about this when i got it about a week ago. I remember seeing that same picture on one of the odd humor sites. It is pubic hair, if i can find a link ill post it.

A week ago? I hate the mail service around here. I just got my issue today...and I still haven't gotten my August issue of EGM.

I'll try googling it tonight to see what I can come up with...I just have to try to figure out what terms to use in the search.

Where did you get this ad online? I want to see it to see if I can figure out which game it is. If you found it on google, what keywords did you search for?

He probably scanned it. I didn't pay all that close attention, but I don't think it's an ad -- it looked like an article about video game urban legends or something. The pic in question accompanied a paragraph about Atari burying games in the desert in NM.

yeah, think that issue also says that madden will be online playable for both ps2 and the x-box. maybe budget cuts affected their research department.

This is not an ad. In the issue, there's a section on "video game myths" as mentioned earlier in the thread. They have stuff like Tomb Raider nude code and launching missiles with PS2. The picture that's on this thread accompanies the myth that Atari buried game cartridges in the desert, which is true. So, yeah...not an ad
