This movie would do well as a SE. Surprised that it hasn't been made into an SE already. Is that a Columbia pic? - do they even do se?

Does Columbia do special editions? Good lord, they release a title, then a superbit verison, then a superbit deluxe, then they will release a multi-disc set. Well not all the time, but you get the idea. ;) Just kidding, but they are usually pretty good on special editions.

As for the Dracula SE. Well I have heard rumors about this since 1999, so I wouldn't hold my breath. The version out now is bare bones, so if you are going to get one, get the Superbit. It is also bare bones, but the picture quality is a little better.

I've been waiting forever for this one. Coppola's Dracula is my favorite Stoker adaptation and I'm about this close to buying the superbit to tide me over. I would love to hear a commentary from Coppola and cast on this one.

I too would love to see an SE of this movie. A Coppola or Oldman commentary would be nice.

I'm gonna have to put this one onto DVD-R soon. Some good extras...the commentary being one of them. And i think there was another audio track. Am I remembering an effects only track?

I believe it was music and FX.

Supposedly American Zoetrope was doing this one in-house. I have been waiting for years. I might as well buy the superbit, since I don't care that much about supplements anyway.

This has been on my hold off list almost as long as GoodFellas. Still waiting on both...

I'd pay any amount for a SE of this movie. Columbia can't be selling many of the barebones editions of this. Why won't they release the rights back to Criterion so we can see the laserdisc put on DVD?
