What is a Dvd9?
The reason I am asking is because I was looking on half.com for a cheap price on Daredevil. the cheapest price was 13.99 but it is a dvd9 single disc dts version. Good Deal?

Sorry, that package screams "bootleg", especially with the DVD9 label. (DVD9 just means a dual layered disc BTW, but Asian boots tend to have a label like that on the front)
Also, the legitmate disc would be both DD and DTS, so you wouldn't likely see an exclusive DTS logo on the top. But there seems to be somewhat of a DTS "fetish" in Asia, so such markings are common as an extra selling point.

Thanks for clarifying the DVD-9 thing; I wanted to know what that was and you see these all over the place on ebay....

As mentioned, DVD-9 doesn't literally mean pirate. Just that when DVDs give that as a description of the disc, that's when the alarm bells start ringing. Especially when it's on the front cover!!
But to answer your question:
There are four types of DVDs - DVD-5, DVD-9, DVD-10 and DVD-18, the essential difference being the amount of data they can store.
By far the most common discs are DVD-5 (single-sided single-layer) and DVD-9 (single-sided dual-layer), the latter being capable of storing almost twice as much information.
If the film is less than approx. two hours and there are no significant video-based extras, everything will fit onto a DVD-5, in which case there won't be a layer change - but if it's longer than two hours and/or there are lots of extras, the DVD authoring house has no choice and has to go for a dual-layer DVD-9.
(DVD-10 and DVD-18 discs are double-sided and consequently much less popular, as they're fiddlier to use - DVD-18 discs can store by far the most data, but they're hard to manufacture and easy to damage)

My better made anamorphic of Scarface that I bought over a year ago was professionally made and clear as hell. If the guy that did this one gets heavy on selling, Hollywood doesn't stand a chance Region 9.
I have watched that movie about 50 times it's still a great made anamorphic, and USA Region 1 isn't even out yet 1 year later. I am sorry but this professionally made anamorphic is no coaster, and it never will be what is the MPAA going to do take away my ability to walk for owning a Region 9 disc, my ability has already been taken away forever. I am not selling them I just happed to buy this one from a Amazon reseller I thought for months this was the real deal, cover art sure looked the same and Tony Montana looks great in a no grain anamorphic.

$13.99 for a bootleg is ridiculous when you cosider the real thing can be had for under $10 this week (see DVD Bargains forum).

"...There are four types of DVDs - DVD-5, DVD-9, DVD-10 and DVD-18..."
...erm... you forgot the fifth type of DVD - DVD-14 (e.g. WB's "Ä Star Is Born", which has the c. 3-hour movie on the DVD-9 side, while the extras are to be found
on the DVD-5 side)...
